Help with links

I use to be able to copy and paste a URL address and it was live or clickable. In other words, all you had to do it click on it and it carried you to the web address.. Now,it's not live or clickable,it's just the address and has to be copied and pasted into the address bar to reach the website. I haven't changed any settings or anything,it just started on it's on. It doesn't matter which browser I use,Google or Firefox and I have Windows 10. Anybody have any input with this issue?

Thanks

I just right click on the address I want to link, and then click copy on the pull down. Then I right click on the thread line I want to place the link and click paste on the pull down.

The link you posted is live & clickable, mine is not. I know how to copy and paste, been doing it for ever but as I said, when I copy and paste, the address but is not clickable. If I posted a link,I have to copy and paste it into the address window where I use to do is just click on it.

Still get invalid thread when I click on the ones you shared Mike. But I can click on the one in your signature just fine, go figure.

After some screwing around I get the second one to work but your first one doesn't seem to be a valid thread

The problem is I can't get it to stop making everything I type be an active link. It was easier when everything was just typed in html before there was a menu for it. Right now this lower text is attached to your second link and I can't get it to detach. Normally I can just remove the underline and that takes care of it

Whenever I add a link I use the link icon in the Quick Reply window.

I have also experienced the link carrying over to text I continue to type. To avoid this I usually add the link after typing my post. Maybe there was an update to site software recently...
