Is it annoying when someone revives a dead thread? I just noticed that it happens alot...

On another note, are there any ROP admins or mods that have account approval power? I applied over there several times in the last year and have yet to get approved...screen name is the same.

I agree, I'm a classic olds guy thru and thru...I just wanted to be able to ask more performance related questions once in a while. Oh well...at least I was able to drag up a post from 2007 in a practical manner lol!

That site has been dying a slow death for a couple years now.

My registration was accepted a couple months ago. You guys need to read the fine print and email the administrator - I forgot his name, but it's outlined in the instructions. He responded to me a few days after forwarding him an email requesting to activate the account.

Hello 2007.

Anyway... all you need to do to get on ROP is to email the admin 50-100 times.

Not much, winter hibernation....I'm not on this forum that often.
Still in the middle of my 2nd LS swap into my Olds.

Looks like you got some fun pics of the Olds with the new motor in it.

I wouldn't say it's dying a slow death but it's not growing much either. The Hunts are probably happy with the way it is and it being their site, that's their prerogative. I have been a member there for a long time and there's very knowledgeable guys there and some that irritate the dog crap out of some. All in all it is what it is and I wish it was easier to join.

Yeah man, we took it out to the dragstrip and the photographers loved it. Glad to hear you're doing well. Good luck on the new swap...why are you changing the LS?

The Hunts have lost interest in the site after the 10-11 years it's been in exsistance.

... and if ROP owners were smart, they would have Google Adsense ads on the site. Then they might change their attitude and keep up2date on things.

ROP has had at least 2 major crashes. I have been a member from the start (start-up member#8). It is still the #1 high performance Olds site on the web, despite it's problems.

What makes it #1? Is it the number of members or the quality of the information? IDK, maybe CO should have a section for performance...then we could get some of the high performance stuff separated from the stock rebuild sections. And then WE could be the #1 performance Olds site lol!

No, I meant my 2nd LS swap into a classic car.
Not my 2nd LS swap into the Olds.

My 78 z28 is a pro-touring beast with an LS1 as well.

Real Olds Power forum, but the way it's run I'm beginning to ask the same question

Very nice! My neighbor has a '67 Nova with an LS1 in it. The car is in rough shape but it runs well. He just put a new 4L60E in it cuz the original one was slipping really badly. Sort of nice to get 20 MPG I would imagine...better than the 5.98 MPG I get in my car lol!

I hear ya brother! I don't have time for another forum either, I just proposed that we create a performance section on CO so I wouldn't have to look at another forum

ROP is much more hardcore than this site. Hardcore is what I'm after, so that is where I go first. As far as another HP section here, IDK I think there are too many now.
