Anybody else have this happen?

Normally there is an X somewhere to close out the ads, not this one.

 

If you were running AdBlockPlus, that wouldn't happen.

I have been seeing non-closable ads on friend's and neighbors computers as well - seems to be hijact-based advertising, a new trend. I have seen ipads where the whole screen is taken over with the ad an no way out, other than click on it or power off.
Get firefox and adbloc for your computer and never be annoyed again.

 

X2- Firefox and AdBlock. The improvement is dramatic.

 

This site can be a nightmare on an IPad too. Pop ups all the time and no real ad blocker for it.

 

Yah, the ads on my Ipad slow me down, have to turn off the ad, and if I scroll too soon, my device freezes, and I have to reopen the site...PIA

 

I use my phone a lot for this site, and same thing, its really annoying!

 

How can you stop it on iPhone it's driving me crazy

On the iPad turning off java script from settings menu cured mine
