Does anyone have an idea why i can no longer add pics?i just got a new iMac and transferred several pics taken with my iPhone .when i try to upload them here it keeps telling me the file is not acceptable?? this has always been the way i did it before

 

Yes. Apple introduced a new image format extension. I'll look it up. But that extension is NOT an acceptable extension to upload. CO (LLC dba Internet Brands) is working on approving it, but until then you'll need to convert the image to an acceptable format (e.g., .jpg, jpeg, png, etc.).

Look to see what the extension of the images you are attempting to load. Most likely that is the cause.

NOTE: You can set the default for image capture (files) on your iMac to another format (other than .heic) of you choose to do so. The HEIC format is actually a better resolution format than most other formats.
