How do you reduce image file size??
I'm trying to add some photos to my album but keep getting "upload failed". I noticed the images are around 2mb's so I know they are too large. Does anyone know how to reduce these file sizes. Thanks

Try the free microsquash "power toys" image resizer. Available for XP, and prolly 7. It allows you to right click a picture and chose "resize". Very handy. In the future you can avoid this by setting your camera to take smaller pics, 1.5Mb or smaller. I think that is around ~2200x1600 size.

Many of the programs that open JPEG's and GIF's have a "compress" function. I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager and click "edit pictures" and then "compress pictures" and "compress for" "documents". You can also compress further too.

I use it all the time. It will install itself in the context menu that pops up when you right click any jpg image. You can choose from among several sizes when you resize, you can choose to resize the original image or make a copy, and you can resize one photo or as many as you want at one time. Just select them all and then right click on one and select the resizer.
Highly, highly recommended.
The Image Resizer Powertoy mentioned does not work for Windows 7. At least, it didn't the last time I checked.

Transfer the picture to paint, then reduce file size to 50. You should be good to upload.
