It's quite possibly my increasing techno illiteracy but for some reason when I go to upload the image, it errors out saying an issue processing the data. I've been able to upload from my desktop if that means anything. Is there some setting I'm missing?

 

What type mobile device e.g. laptop, tablet or phone?

 

Android phone.

 

Are you using a VPN? If so, turn off VPN.

Are you in View Full Website' or 'View Mobile Site mode? Are you attempting to UPLOAD an image stored on your mobile device or an image stored at a different location i.e. URL link? What is the exact error message?

Troubleshooting Pictures/Images

 

Is it possibly an issue of image size? The camera on your cell phone can create images that are perhaps a couple MB is size. This might be too large for the site to accept.

I always resize images to "suitable for websites" or words to that effect, and it reduces the image to less 1000 kb.

 

Have upload a lot of pics here and other places without any problem with pic size , using a Samsung S22.

There's no VPN and it seems to be in View Mobile Site as selecting the View Full Website takes me to the page I see when I'm logged in on my desktop. Here's a screenshot from my phone when I try to upload from that device. It doesn't match any of the troubleshooting pictures on the link unless I somehow missed it.

 

My phone camera isn't as good as most current phones, it's several years old, and it has this issue with any image including screenshots.

 

Several things come to mind:
(1) I believe you are using the Brave Browser on your phone? If correct, try using a different Browser on your Android phone;
(2) Alongside using the Brave Browser on your Android phone, I believe I'm correct in noting you're enrolled in the Brave Browser BAT (Basic Attention Token) Rewards application/program? If so, I suspect (a) incompatibility to negotiate this Classic Oldsmobile (CO) website based on either this CO website blocking the Brave BAT application/program; or, (2) misconfiguration of the Android phone Brave BAT application/program. Check your Android Settings & check for any recent Android updates, Brave Browser updates & BAT updates;
(3) Change from View Mobile Site to View Full Website and try to UPLOAD. There are differences in how a Browser negotiates credentials & security tokens between View Mobile Site & View Full Website;
(4) I noted in your User Profile it states you're located in the US; however, I'm curious in the address bar of the screenshot you captured & posted, it states at the end of the Brave Browser URL address bar "classicoldsmobile/forums/ne". Are there any other letters after "ne" in the address bar? Because if there are none, and "ne" is at the end of the URL address bar, "ne" would indicate you're attempting to negotiate a challenge (security handshake) to a Classic Oldsmobile forum location (URL) based in the Netherlands (ne). Are you located in the Netherlands?

 

BTW, I recognize the entire URL address (site/link) location may be truncated (shortened) and there are, in fact, more alphanumeric characters beyond (past) the "ne"; but it's worth asking if you're located in the Netherlands or trying to negotiate CO in the Netherlands.
I also noted you have a newer post in a thread you started RE: Sway Bar bushings (Rock Auto). I suspect that image was NOT posted from your Android phone but from another device.

 

This site, Classic Oldsmobile (CO) is more or less a CO developer sandbox where IB developers "attempt" to make/install/configure new s/w. Over its history it has been replete w/ numerous misconfiguration issues resulting in many/numerous errors. This site uses Cloudflare. Recently, there have been several Cloudflare implementations/configurations to this site. One of which is the recent implementation of Cloudflare security verification. I have no insight/knowledge how they configure any parameters of Cloudflare but it has been, more or less, hit or miss depending on various parameters, image uploads, site negotiation(s), etc. - you're not alone. I'll point you to a recent (2026) site I used to frequent while owning a boat - they had/have same issues. I'll attempt to help when I can, but I'm a member like yourself and have no working knowledge of how Cloudflare is configured on this site other than to reiterate - it's a developers sandbox (however; it is a free forum website - so, some pain can be expected).

FWIW, try clearing cache & cookies on your Android & reattempting a new negotiation.

 

I will try your suggestions. And no I am not located in the Netherlands, the URL was too long to fully display.
