Oldsmobile parts scam:
Oldsmobile parts scam:
Someone with an Atlanta phone number is reading the post and responses, I gave my phone number for Dave442 to call me, and posing as the seller trying to get me to send money to them.
luckily I have talked to Dave442 and when they couldn’t answer simple questions about what we had talked about I knew they were scammers. The phone number they called from is an Atlanta number, 470-391-0840.
This is why I insist on talking to the selller.
Be careful my friends!

This is extremely common across pretty much any discussion board. I've had it happen on the hotrod boards, welding boards, machinist boards, etc.
You post a "want ad" for something, the scammer emails, calls or PM's you, saying this other guy has what you're looking for. Will even email/PM you photos. He says to email the other guy, usually at some random Gmail address.
Other guy replies "oh yeah, I still have it, PayPal/Venmo to [address] and I'll send it right out!"
And, of course, if you do, that money is gone.
It's very common. We've dealt with it on every board I frequent, and we've seen them pull it on items as small as $20.
Doc.
