edelbrock 2711 intake 1406 carb 8131 fuel line kit issues

edelbrock 2711 intake 1406 carb 8131 fuel line kit issues

have a 69 oldmobile 350 and im putting the edelbrock 2711 intake, 1406 carb , and 8131 fuel line kit with filter. i am wondering if any one else has this setup and did u need a carb spacer ? looks like the filter wont clear the intake .

If there is a clearance issue you may need a spacer:

Oldcutlass is correct, Your best to buy the items Eric posted above , then you;ll need to bend the carb linkage to clear the intake without a spacer.
Your best to buy a 4 hole spacer, your carb will like it as well.

linkages all clear .and i have that kit shown above ..its just when put together ,fuel filter rests on manifold ...just hard to belive no has used this setup before ..looked all over the internet . im leaning towards the spacer

If its just the filter, you can bend a dog leg in the line to raise the filter off the manifold.

I have the same set up, but on a 76 350, before I put the 1" spacer under the carb I had to bend my linkages a bit. Actually now thinking about it I had a 3711 on it at that time then went with the 2711. So yes your car may have cleared the linkages with out having the EGR set up.
I'd go with the parts Eric ( Dam he knows what works haha) posted with a 1" 4 hole spacer and I'm sure you'll find it much better
