Coil springs for a 61?
I'm looking to replace the coils on my new to me 61. The previous owner cut the fronts and pinched the back so the car sit's pretty low right now and the front wheels rub at full lock. I like it low just not maybe this low!
Has anyone bought springs from Eaton Detroit Springs? If so, were you satisfied with them? I see they offer springs for my application and up to 2" drop. I can either buy from them or I've found some on Rockauto.com that I could buy and cut a little at a time to my liking. One of the problems is I don't know what stock height is compared to where it sits now. Anyone have suggestions or advice? Thanks!

This is from the 1961 Oldsmobile Shop Manual ;
As you can see , the specified height is a range . And anything within that range was considered "acceptable" .
" Curb load " was the basic weight of the car , without passengers or luggage .

I knew Eaton was the supplier. I guess my question was more about their lowered offerings. They upcharge and don't accept returns on their modified springs. Looks like i'm going to gamble and be the guinea pig!
