Need pics of power steering bracket clearance to steering box on 66-67 Cutlass
Please snap some pics of clearance and required mods to fit Big Block Olds into 66-67 Cutlass where the power steering pump gets close to the steering box.
I need to know how tight this area is before jumping into new brackets and pulleys....
I am interested in the bracket sets for 68+ up into these early cars, as well as aftermarket pulleys and serpentine conversions of any brand. I am seriously looking into the CVF kit as a possibility, because I need to mount accessories in front of the tall valve covers, because stock brackets and a/c and alternator won’t clear tall valve covers.
any help is appreciated

I don't recall this being very tight. I looked at my 330 with the 67 brackets and sits well above the box. My 403 with 71 brackets is worse. It puts the pump lower, under the alternator. I think the 67 400 mounts about the same as the 330, but others can chime in if I'm wrong.

Pump is up high above the steering box.

You have to cut the lower bracket or it will hit the steering box, other than that all else bolts in with the correct spacers. the second picture is how I have the bracket cut. The frame is about an inch and a half narrower on the 66 & 67 models.
