My car dosent have any of the heater boxes or a.c. lines. And most of the vents have been gutted. When I got the car there was no parts for it and no dash unit selector either. Is there a way to tell if my car was a.c or heat only?

whoops forgot to mention it, the car is a 1972 cutlass supreme

Actually, the most obvious difference is the punch out in the firewall. The first photo is heat-only, the second is A/C. Note that these photos are looking from the inside of the passenger compartment, so the passenger side is on the right.

Thanks for the help, the car is definitely a a.c. car. Now to find all the missing peices.
