'72 Supreme window reveal molding
Looking for very good to excellent moldings - a set or individual pieces. The four that hold the window fuzzies. As stated, needed for a '72 Supreme.

Let me find them in my shop and check out the condition before pricing. I'm not sure I have a full set, but I know I have the door pieces. I'll send or post some pics so you know what you're getting.

71-72 Cutlass Supreme Window Molding
Oddball:
I have attached some pics of the 71-72 window moldings I have. They are not perfect and may not be nice enough for your needs. There are a small scratches and a couple of small dings, but overall look pretty good for a driver. You may be able to polish out some of the smaller scratches but the deeper ones would require more effort. The weatherstrip (fuzzies) are in nice condition although the drivers side is missing the weatherstrip.
Here's a list of known defects:
LH Qtr: Large scratch on the outside edge
RH Qtr: Dent on the upper, rear section
LH Door: Large scratch and very small ding near the middle, 1/4" spot at rear end, missing weatherstrip
RH Door: No major scratches, minor corrosion at front leading edge
Quarter Pieces.
LH Drivers Side Door.
RH Passenger Side Door.

The parts are listed as B85 Belt molding. They also need a special clip to hold them in place IIRC
These are not stainless steel as many people believe. They are anodized, so polishing them will not make defects go away. They would need to be re-anodized.

I'm somewhat familiar with anodizing aluminum, but these parts seem much too stiff to be aluminum. Could they be stainless? Can you/would you anodize stainless?
The parts I have are pretty straight, just wondering if it would make sense to restore them. Does the anodizing need to be removed before re-anodizing them? I don't think anyone re-pops these so that may be the only option.

Rodney, they seem stiff because of the way they are shaped and their plastic support underneath. They definitely are not stainless, they are anodized aluminum. I have a set for my 72 Cutlass S which has a different slope on the quarter windows. I did try to polish them and they look like crap, so yes, they have to go to the shop for re-anodizing. The shop will tell you what they have to do and quote you a price. You are correct that these B85 moldings are not reproduced, but the fuzzies for them are.

I've never seen a plastic support under/inside them, but they easily could have degraded away before I've gotten my hands on any.
My understanding of their mounting is the fuzzies are held to the trim using little clips, then the fuzzies are screwed to the door/quarter - three screws on the doors, two on the quarters. That's it. No clips or anything interesting.
Agreed on the restoration of these parts. My plan is to powder coat them, so some flaws can be repaired. But some of my parts have folds along an edge which is a real bear.

There is a set on eBay of the ones for the rear quarters.
