tach time!!!

Hey all replaced the glass on my tach tonight but does not work.
anyone know where to find the tach wire in the engine compartment and what color it is?

It’s a brown wire (I think) that’s connected to a stud on the back side of the tack.

Pretty sure there is also a small fuse inline. 3 amps maybe?

yeah thanks guys i meant where to find it under the hood.
already had the tach out and saw the back.
i guess its the same color under the hood i should have known.

Braided metal wire comes through the firewall middle/drivers side to negative side of coil
