I had a 400g motor in a 69 442.With a stage 2 built Qj, performer manifold, using the same Cam you are.Stock heads with the bowls cleaned up and a 3 angle valve job,373 gears. The car went 100 mph in the 1/4 mile. I think that your 350 should do that at least. My ET was high 13's.I ran the car though the exhaust. Did have hedman headers and 2 chamber flowmasters, but I never opened the headers.

Are you sure that your cam specs are typed in correctly? 419 / 518 ????

There are no forged 350 cranks. I gather you are using a 330 crank then? Yes? No?. Maybe?

Why such a tall spacer?

Not enough carb. Factory 350 used a 750. Why goes less carb now?

Stock suspensions is not the best. Why not make simple mods to improve your 60' times?

Kind of...

A Q-Jet will only flow what is demanded of it. The rear top flapper doors regulate the amount of air based on demand. Yes the secondary throttle plates open wide on full throttle, but the secondaries will only open as far as the air flowing through them will "push/suck" them open.

Sorry 491-518, 1.6 rocker arm ratio, max RPM 5500-6500 float. Must be cast crank then lost some of info when car purchased in 2007never seen bottom end, was told by numerous people spacer would provide better mid range, time, will tell when I get to track can always reduce or remove right. As for suspension, money was part of issue and not a full time strip car- street toy. carburation on this car is not an issue goes like hell no spit or sputter good burn at plugs yes could spend a ton more but why, have done some homework, varied opinions and this is what I seek.

thx

Looks like that Cam mentioned should be 491/518 if it's the crane HIT 282-2 I used in the 400G.

I ran 13.3's with a 350 and a 600 cfm carb. The 650 dp is what I got now and it felt better on the butt dyno on the old combo. I do have a 750 3310 im curious to see how the 650 does vs the 750 both will be box stock.
