Went Racing!!

First time back on the track since the crash of my 9-second car last November.

Test-N-Tune session Friday night. I was racing the car in my Sig. Pic. Rocket Head 468 with 4.10 gears. Running M/T 295/55R15 ET Street Radials.

Ran a best of 10.49 at 125.2

Raced a friend of mine in a very nice Kaufman Head BB Pontiac. He went best of 10.69 @ 121.6..about avg for his car. He weighs 3340 , I am at 3530. His car Chassis Dynoed 604 HP at 5800.....I always thought mine was about 625 at the flywheel...think it's a bit more??

Anyway,,had a great time.

4.10 in my car with a 28" tall tire. My friend's Pontiac runs 4.10 with 29.5" tire.

First day of points is Sunday at my track

Was hoping to take the Alero for a change, but the tuning isn't complete yet, so it's the Delta, but I get to test out the 80's 442 air cleaner I bought. Also picked up a intake duct and a silicone elbow to tie it altogether

Shift Light set at 6300...it just blinks on as I cross the stripe, so about 64-6500.

Sounds like a fun ride Danny! We have a month before our track opens. We fianally hit 50* today......snow isn't all gone yet . Good job by the way.

Was wondering how is the traction (track temp) this time of the year? What kind of DAs do you have down there?

Glad to hear that you are back at the track. Did you ever find out what caused the car turn like that in the top end?

Nick: The day we raced, the high temp was 81 and Sunny. We ran in the early evening so DA was under 2000'. Track seemed OK but not prepped for a TnT as well as for a race day, and this bothers alot of us running high horsepower and slicks.

Still no " smoking gun " on the cause of the other cars wreck. I have dis-assembled the other car with help from "Sicky-Olds" and "AH64Pilot" down to the front frame. Our plan is to cut the frame out at the factory Trans cross-member location and Front Clip the car...$$$$ concerns will see if that all comes about.

Danny, I know what you mean. Unless they are having a 10.5 race on a Saturday T&T, we don't test. Not being able to hook hinders the testing a bunch!
