Does anyone know if this is a real 442 or a clone?
Saw the pic in some posted on ROP.
Just wondering if this is one of the few 4 dr 64 442's or just a nice clone. Nice looking car either way

That was *part* of the problem with it being original. It claimed to be, but there was nothing to back up the claim. In my opinion, if someone expects anyone to believe a claim of such rarity, they should offer at least *something* to back up the claim. Of course there are always some that believe something is true just because someone says so. And maybe that is enough recognition for the owner. But to me, it just perpetuates the fakes. Nothing wrong with a clone until it crosses that line.

I spoke with the owner of that car personally at the Nats, he claims it to be real....1 of 7 B09 4drs. Said that it was being trailered straight from the Nats to the west coast(I believe somewhere in Nevada?) for some kind of show. He wasn't going to make it with the car....interesting car. Would have thought it deserved a better resoration than it had. Bodywork and paint and engine bay was IMO a little lacking. But maybe I'm just jealous! He said he won 1st place, but had to make a fuss with the judges. Can anyone verify this. Seemed like a nice guy....

that's not as bad the so called "1 of 1" 67 hurst 442 with column shift, that was featured in musclecar review a while back.
that was just plain dumb of them to run a story on that car,it was a blatant fake.

You mean putting a Hurst equipped emblem on doesn't make it real?
