How do I choose the right spark plug for my new build?
First list is the changes I've made;
4.25 stroke Eagle rotating kit. 11 to 1 SRP flat top pistons. .Balanced
3' X-pipe exhaust.
New Edelbrock replacement valve springs.
Had heads cleaned and checked.
Block was bored to .60 over, half filled with hard blok, honed with plates, 0 decked.
7551 RPM Performer on its way. (backordered)

This list is what is the same.
2" Hooker super comps.
1" Moroso open center carb spacer.
Lunati Hyd Flat tappet cam. I have to look up the specs.
880-890 CFM 4150 Holley.
HEI Dist.
My big change from the old to new is the bump in compression and the straight & square maghine work.

I just need to find a chart or something for the plugs to get me close.

I'd start with the stock plugs and check them after running them for a while. Gap to .045. Then adjust if necessary.

 

For a performance application always use the coolest plug you can before it fouls.

 

Street or strip. Aluminum heads correct?

 

Street miles per season is usually under 2000. Hope to make a few Olds events and local test and tunes this year.
Edelbrock aluminum heads. Mildly ported and polished by me a few years ago, nothing crazy.

 

I would start with an Auto Light AR3911.
