Here is something COOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!
I found and bought ( and now own the rights to) the original slide from the pic that is posted above of my car---the "Anderson Olds" '69 W-31. That particular was taken in May 1969 at Capitol Raceway, and is the photo I used to have my car re-lettered. Look for the car to be featured in an upcoming book by Doug Boyce.
And now for another cool tidbit---I have, and I think it was also shown in this thread, a picture of Anderson Oldsmobile's 1968 442 (also driven by Sonny Freeman) racing the "Tin Tiger", a Pontiac that is shown above racing another Olds. The pic of the Anderson '68 car was in an article in an issue of Car Craft from "back-in-the-day".

Here's Loyed in the C/Stock class final at Indy 1966. His opponent was local rival and arch enemy Bob Gaudreau in the Paul Dodge GTO from Manchester, CT. Loyed actually lost this race, his shifter popped out of first on the run. Inspection found the GTO to have an illegal suspension modification and Loyed was declared the winner.

Sucks that you were stuck sniffing Caprice butts the whole race. I thought for sure you were going to try and take the second one when he got squirrly. bad turn for it though.
