Do you have a picture of your engine bay? It would help to know where your coil is mounted, maybe you knocked the coil wire loose when you put the new carb on.

If you've got gas (and you say you do) and you've got spark then you'll have noise. No noise = no spark. Check for 12 volts at the coil. Mine did the same thing, issues with the ignition switch. I ran a wire straight from the battery to the coil (hot wired) and she fired up.

When i was tryn to start the car i only had a few mins to mess with it and it seems it may have been flooded and wouldnt start. I had a friend come over while i was at work and he got it going. He said the air fuel mixture screw was only half a turn out. He had to turn it out more to get to run well. The directions state you shouldnt have to adjust the screws. At the track when i floored the pedal the car did nothing for about half a second then left hard so now im wondering where to start to tune the carb so it doesnt hesiate any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I bought a BRAND NEW carb from the factory, and guess what, wouldn't start the car.

First preliminary check: FLOAT HEIGHT.

If your float(s) aren't set correctly, you'll never start that thing.

Pour a couple ounces of gas down the primaries and see if she fires.
