Not super quick but definitely budget.
Original 455,Deep dish pistons ,stock E heads and valvetrain, crower hydraulic flat tappet with 108LSa and 228, 238 dur. @ .050 and rhoads lifters.
Performer intake , stock exh. manifolds, full exhaust, stock type O with 3:42 with 172k on it and monzaz’s axles.
90 mile drive to the track that is @6600 ft. Swap out to the drag radials ,adjust air bags, front shock trick and pinch rear brake hose, flip the switch to high stall on the switch pitch 400 and on the track. Went 4 rounds , second bracket race ever in this car !
Lost to eventual winner hard on the brakes at the traps. best run so far 9.74 et 1/8 mile on the brakes.
Corrected for 1320@ sea level is about a 14.5 e.t. at about 96mph
There may or may not have been air under the right front . Judges ?

I have less then $1000 in this engine(most of the parts I already had).
stock 403 short block
#7 heads with 2.07/1.7 valves, filled and divider welded, bowl work.
224/224 duration .540 lift hyd
performer rpm
750 qjet
hooker super comp headers with 2.5” exhaust out the back
points distributor with cdi box
4 speed st10
12 bolt posi but 2.73 gears
currently my daily driver, still needs dialed in but runs strong. Planning to hit the strip after it’s dialed in and I have better gears.
