Ford Windsor roller rockers?

Would a pedestal mount Windsor setup work on a 350 head? Would that require guideplates? If so, do those require hardened pushrods?

I realize that careful attention must be paid to the sweep and finally assembly. I’m just trying to see what my options are with minimal machine work required.

You can run them, many have, myself included. There are 5/16" to 3/8" conversion studs for mild springs. I believe some are set for 5/16" bolts and some may not need guide plates. There are multiple styles, ratio and stud sizes for the Ford and Olds specific rocker arms.

I did the 5/16 to 3/8 screw in studs with guide plates and absolutely yes on hardened push rods not stock ones with guide plates . I did cheap SBF 1.6 roller tips on my 350 SBO and lock nuts to convert adjustable been great for years
Wondered about pedestals but didn't borrow any to see how the fit up would have been

Pedestal mount roller rocker pairs DO NOT require guide plates. Stud mount roller rockers DO require guide plates.

What about the shaft rockers from Speedmaster? Any input. I know people aren’t keen on the brand. But just looking around.

Mark Remmel, cutlassefi, I believe has some experience with the Speedmaster shaft rockers; reach out to him.

If your going to run the Ford pedestal rockers will a 1.7 ratio work? will you need a longer or shorter push rod? I can check for that, but was just wondering. stock valves covers?

I have Ford Motorsport B351 1.7 rockers on my 403. Granted, not running but you still have to measure for pushrod length and shim them accordingly for proper preload like any other rocker. Yes, they fit under the factory valve covers. You'll use a stock length pushrod.

I looked on line for those rockers and they show as a 1.6 ratio.
