Eagle Rods and the small bore 400 G.
First off I want to thank grannys442 for posting this very helpful information.

The Eagle Rod and most likely all of the entry level offshore rods will have the same issue. The big end is to large for the small bore.
Is removing material from the side of the rod a viable option?
It would weaken the rod but would it weaken the rod to the point of failure given the 400 G HP/TQ limitations.

Thanks Mark for the reply.
Where do Speedmaster H beams rank on the quality scale?

Its hit and miss with speedmaster quality. got a set here that 3 of the rods are poorly machined on the beams. really rough and a lot different thickness variation side to side. one side is .075' thick while other is.125" and i dont know the real quality of the bolts.. no name and a real rough head on it.
still better than using a stock rod though.
still better than using a stock rod though.
