DX based Stroker Cranks

Looks like this has become a new project of mine.
I had a couple of people contact me over on Facebook requesting me to do a large main small block stroker crank that will drop right into the DX block.. It seems this is moving forward. Price will be about the same as the gas based Stroker cranks, around $1850.00. These will be a great alternative to using the 50 year old 400/425 crank or buying a much more expensive custom billet at a cost of over 3k.
Let me know if anyone may be interested as these will take 4-5 months to get.

Mark, what kind of stroke are you talking about? I'm likely interested.

Mark do you need a deposit? You are talking a 4.O stroke right?

Yes 4.00” same as my gas journal one. I have to keep the mods to a minimum otherwise they have to do a new drawing etc.
Mains, seal surface, flange, and snout are all Olds dimensions. Rod journals are SBC/LS so there’s a ton of rod choices. I currently sell a crank, rod and piston package that yields about 9.8-10.0:1 with bb or aftermarket heads. And yes I need a majority deposit upfront as these are a deviation from what I’ve been doing already.
Let me know Joe. Thanks.

As Neeley said, yes it’ll fit in both blocks.

D block is thicker in the web area than any gas block. Also has .842 lifter bores.
DX has the thickest main webbing of any Olds block. Lifter bores are .921. However all cyl thickness is about the same as none are siamesed.

are these lifters available in both sizes?Or is it common to machine the lifter bores for a more common size?

Yes both flat tappets and rollers. However the rollers are just std issue, nothing special.
