I can't get past how ugly the thing looks. Plus, that name, Sorceress, sounds like he's into BDSM.
Street legal cars require DOT approved bumpers.
Koda is my man. 🍻
Amen on all your points. That car is so ugly. I mean I get the aerodynamic body but that is nowhere near looking like a factory 84 Hurst Olds. I love the line that he has owned it since new. That car was never born as a Hurst Olds. Not like he has owned it since 1984. Not like it was born as a steel bodied car.
DOT approved bumpers. Emissions. Turn signals. The list goes on and on.

What's wrong with that? Probably more D&D than BDSM, though.

Ummmm, we're talking about "street" cars, not OEM. In most classes, the requirement is a DOT tire. Plus, some might require a short drive, lights, and horn. Bumpers? Nah.
I am beginning to wonder if some of you have ever seen a custom modified car. Some of those have no front bumper or front and rear missing . This 1938 Dodge 1/2 pu doesn't have a front or rear bumpers. It is tagged . It was drove to this car show. Yeah it a street Rod . I have owned a built this myself . I still have it and it is a running truck I took it on a cruise 260 Miles round trip several years ago. This truck was disassembled frame was separated cleaned reassembled cab and bed reinstalled. Then a custom front end was built using a mustang 2 front spindles . The door handles are shaved, the rearend is custom built control arms, it has a cust built tail gate the back panel has louvers done by The famous Dave Stucky. Rip Dave. This truck has a custom roll pan french in tag plate area. It also has french in tail lights. Has reverse lights under the roll pan. The air vent in the cowl was welded shut. The windshield rollout frame was removed and the holes were welded shut from the windshield brackets. This truck still has the factory chassis except for the mods mentioned. There is several more things to talk above t this truck. This was just a example of no dot bumpers. Hell the wipers are not functioning because I was lazy didn't wire up the new motor yet.

It is a fast as hell drag car.
I sent the owner a message to say someone on the internet said he’s WRONG! 😁
I like the style/approach of the G body build, its a car I could see myself testing Oldsmobile engines in, and I doubt he's spent much money getting there, its much like the theme of my shop truck and this 307 build of his, use junk most would throw away, spend no money and get maximum results / fun! Canadian did a thread on drag cars a while back and posted pictures, I liked it then and commented, and like it now. Over the years I've also seen pictures of your setup as well.

I've got a better question: What exactly did that 307 run at the track in that G body at what weight, at what track, at what time of the year??
low 11's@120+ , 3580 race weight. full interior, power windows, T tops and always run a full tank. ill look for a slip. Toronto motorsports park 675.9 ft elevation

Thats what it should run, carries HP past peak nicely. You should have documented that, a nice finish to the engine masters.
