When we first had our Camaro out we couldn't even get it down the track, radically blew the the tires off. The programable ignition MSD 8 plus allowed use to get the car down the track, it was a life saver for us.
Took the car back to D-42 today. Had some good air. Car went a new best at 9.19 @141mph. It has officially exceeded my expectations at this point. I think I'm done for this season. Very satisfied where we got for only 12 passes.

Nah. Not really my thing. I just like race cars that look like street cars but have no desire to actually put serious street miles on one. I have and will drive this thing around locally up to the local bar or ice cream shop but that's about the extent of it.
Chad, you have one of the nicest/coolest Oldsmobiles out there. After reading the article/viewing the pictures, I'm even more impressed with your top notch attention to detail.......AWSOME JOB!!!, can't wait to actually see it in person some day.
Chad, with the tubing modification you did to the front crossmember, are you able to drop the oil pan with the engine in place?
If so what is the depth in the front portion of the pan?
Thanks,
Josh
You might be able to drop a typical Milodon/Moroso steel pan. Not sure, never tried. I definitely can't drop the aluminum Moroso pan with the kick out I have on it now.
I ended up with a Stefs pan. I probably should have got one of Trovatos pans with the kick out but, picked this one up for a real good price. We'll see how it goes when mocking the engine up.
