100% agreed!

I know of a certain racer who took a used stock 455 out of a Toronado with C heads, performed a valve job and honed the block and installed new rings, and used a Lunati “Stocker” cam.

This was all in an F-85 with a good converter and 3.73’s I believe. Solid 11 second combo.

So it looks like I will be an Olds 442 owner soon. Car is a tribute W30 with pretty much ALL the W30 stuff transferred over from a wrecked 1970 W30 EXECPT for the VIN, Trans and W27 rear. At this time, it's ALL OEM W30 stuff but .030 forged pistons and 800 Holley with headers. Not to sure I can get this whale to run mid 11's with the F heads and OEM W30 intake with stock or non-hi stall converter. Would consider swapping to the ported Speedmasters of Cutlass EFI, but would like to keep the original intake?? Or do I sell off the OEM F heads and intake for Speedmasters and RPM air gap???

So with that being said, what was the combo to make this lighter F85 run solid 11? Would like to do it with 3.08 or 3.42 gears? BUT could swap i to more gear and overdrive trans, 4L80/700R4 or even consider a gear vendor which for the $$$ might be the best way to go.

that low compression G/SA stocker has run an 11.16…pretty impressive .

For those that don’t know…factory intake, valve lift rule, G heads and factory weight 😎

508@5800 575@4000 clearly has the suspension figured out. Your 455 in this chassis would be deep into the 10’s

What was the lifter part number for this, if you do not mind sharing? Lift of cam as I can't find anything on redline site about cams?

I used Morel lifters, the cam was 232 @ .050, my cam grinder Spiro isn't open to the public so it will be hard to find any information, but if you were to call him and ask him about the cam he made for me I'am sure he would fix you up.
