1974 Delta Trunk lock Emblem wanted

Looking for a perfect or near perfect emblem. Fits over the trunk lock.

Virtually unobtainium. My suggestion is to look for a 77-85 Royale trunk lock cover. They're more common, hold up better, and best of all use the same mounting holes the original cover used.

I went thru this search for my 73 Delta convertible. NOS didn't exist and could never find a used one that wasn't crazed or missing the plastic. The 77-85 piece is the same size as the 73-76, has a deep red background with Royale lettering, and looks damn nice on the 70s cars.

Well, I may not need it after all. The only issue the original had was that the lense part had clouded up a bit thru the years. I was able to pop out the lense part, and found a nice super flat surface to slide it back and forth on some 600 grit sand paper, then went with ultra fine 1200, then some plastic lense polish. The results were better than expected. This picture does not do it justice, as it looks much better in person, but I think because of the glare, my camera would not focus properly.EmblemLoc.jpg?t=1209954928

Looks as good as new now.

Does anyone know a safe way to remove the plastic lense from this emblem without prying or damaging it? Any suggestions would be appreciated!
