Lower air distribution manifold (with picture)

This is surely a shot in the dark, but I am wanting a "lower air distribution manifold" for my 1966 Olds Starfire. The part should be in all 1966 full-size models with air conditioning. I don't know what other years are applicable. Here's a picture from the service manual, since the name is not specific. I'm sure everyone has a different name for the thing:

I called USA Parts Supply, and although the guy was very helpful and friendly, he almost laughed when I described the part I was looking for. Needless to say, they didn't have it.

Just reply to this post if you have any leads, or recommendations on how to fabricate such a piece.

Check out the following website. They might be able to find it on a parts car for you.

Thanks for the recommendation. I submitted a request, so now... I wait.

On a related matter, I've been looking at some pictures of dashes from 1964-1967, and it appears that the 65-66 dashes were the same, but the side vents moved up in 1967, so the manifold is probably not the same for that year. Can someone verify that 1965 and 1966 are the only applicable years for this part?

I have that part but it is from a 66 toronado. If you think it will work let me know.

I looked at the '66 Service Manual, and I'm afraid that the parts are too dissimilar between the two models, although the manifolds are functionally doing the same thing. It looks like the Toronado version gets it's air from a large square hole on the large, flat side of the manifold. The B-body version has a smaller rectangular input on its edge-side.

Still, I appreciate the offer. If anyone on this forum sees this part in a junkyard or somewhere, let me know. I will make it worth your effort.
