Are you looking for a correct one or one that looks close meaning it at least has an openface front. If you just want the look then you have more options and will save some good deal of money. If you are looking for a restoration correct one you should post what month and week your car was built so you can get the correct date code if possible

I positively wish you good luck. As you probably know they are hard to come by. I wish I had a few. Still waiting for date you desire and #. Someone on the forum may part with one for you. Most guys on this forum know their value. Be more specific as to what you need. As a rebuilder I buy a lot of old cores and occasionally come across one. Again Good luck.

I do not know of one available but occasionally you will find the open-face front on ebay and you can put that on another alternator.

As Rocket Vapor and Stellar pointed out these seldom come up for sale and if they do folks know what they have. Trouble is they are the same alternator that 1969 and 1970 Corvettes use and that seems to just add to the shortage as they tend to be even more particular about correct parts.

No offence intended, I was just trying to make sure you knew what you were getting into (preventing unknown sticker shock).

I have been trying to locate the correct one for four years.

As others have pointed out these are very rare and we (Olds people) have to compete with the Corvette guys for the remaining few.

Again, I wish you good luck in your search.
