Remote mirror mounting screws?
Remote mirror mounting screws?
Does anybody have 2 mounting screws to my remote mirror from '69, or knows where to buy them?
It has to be the ones with the hex socket inside the bolt!

THose might be a bit hard to find, especially in Sweden! I would try Fusick (www.fusick.com, email them from their web site). I know they sell 68-69 repro side mirrors with the mounting screws but I don't know if they sell the screws separately.

Fusick, Parts place etc do not carry or list just the screw you are looking for. May I suggest you get ahold of any of the following C.O. members and ask if they have what you need? These guys part out cars and may likely be able to ship it quickly and cheaply via an envelope to you in Sweden.
Try: jensenracing77 (Eric) 2blu442 (John), Oldspackrat (Scott) and J-(Chicago) Joe
someones gotta have this and be able to provide a nice early Christmas present?
If I knew what size it was I'd go get one for you from the nut and bolt supply store here. Can't be that uncommon a size.
Just a thought for anyone to chime in on: is this screw the same one for any of the remote mirrors? Seems to me there's a huge number of remote mirrors at the boneyard that might use the same part?

Do you mind sending them in an envelope to Sweden? Thanks!
That's 5000 posts John.
Oh and when I did mine I replaced those with something from the hardware store if I remember correctly. I can't remember why just now, but I needed to replace them and it was pretty simple.

Emil, I've got them. Would you send me a PM or email with your address? Also let me know which lines are the street address, city, state(?) and postal code. Shipping international I've had trouble with putting things in the correct line
I'm thinking the USPS small flat rate box may be the best way to ship them.John
It does cost more to go international, but the same flate rate boxes can be used for both domestic and international. I'm afraid even a padded envelope may not protect these and a small box may be the way to go. I'd hate for an empty ripped envelope to show up! John
