remote mirror template on eBay

Now, perhaps this is oversized and costs more to print, but isn't the cost a bit exorbitant? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968-...Q5fAccessories

I wouldn't mind having this when I install, but I'm not paying that kind of dough for it.

I may have an original of that out in the garage in a box--probably still folded up and never cut, if I remember correctly. 25 years ago I replaced a busted remote mirror on a 69 with an NOS one and didn't need the template. I'll look for it next week some time.

Can't you just print it and blow it up?

I got it to print at full-page size. However, the resolution is far too small. It's completely blurry.

Rev, if you could send the jpeg to my e-mail, that might work where I can size it.

Arggghhh. Rev, sorry but I accidentally deleted it as it went to my spam folder. Can you resend it? Sorry for the trouble.

Was anyone ever able to get a better scan/copy of this? I REALLY don't want to spent $11 on it, but still would like to reference it. I don't think it's in the assembly manual, is it? (haven't had time to look in there for it)

I just went back and looked at that template again. This is just the template to drill the clearance hole on the INNER door panel? That hole doesn't even show - it's covered by the door upholstery.

Well, problem is, I'm not sure I have my original door panels from the 442 lying around, so I don't even know where to cut the hole in the door panel, let alone the hole in the Cutlass door. I'm pretty sure this car didn't have the remote mirror, so I need to put that hole in the inner door as well.

Too little space, not enough time, and too much happened. My head is about spinning these days trying to remember where I've left stuff stuff I've literally seen twice in the last 4 months.

I have to admin that I've paid that much for that type of thing.

Well, I'm close to getting there, Keith. Maybe I can find it at Carlisle this weekend for $9
