Ok So I am thinking of pulling the HEI the PO put in my cutlass and moving back to a points distributor and coil.
I need a good OEM points distributor and a coil mount (mine is missing). This is for a 1970 Cutlass with a 350 and 3 barrel carb, auto if that makes a difference.

While I do not want junk, I will send it in to get rebuilt.

 

I have a distributor 1111961 8k31 with shaft off my 69 cutlass 350 2bbl carb and coil bracket.

I will keep this in mind, further review is a 1111975 Distributor being correct for a 4bbl. that said, I doubt it will matter and it would be rebuilt for the correct engine setup.

 

69 AND 70 BLOCKS WERE THE SAMETO USE THE DISTRIBUTOR AND SHAFT SIZETHE SAME SPECS FOR THE USE OF EITHER DISTRIBUTOR ARE AVAILABLE, FYI

Good to know that you. It has been a while since I owned an Olds anything. Last one was a ‘70 88 with a 455 like 30 years ago.
