No output from coil

I have installed a new MSD coil and distributor in my 68 olds cutlass. I have 12V coming in to the coil, but nothing coming out, thus no fire to the distributor. I have attached two wires to the posts on the coil, and inserted the coil wire to the distributor, but still no fire. Any suggestions!!!

No points

I think the distributor is electronic, doesn't have points. The schematic calls for an amplifier, and I can't find it, any help we be appreciated.

We're all happy to help, but the mind reading thing still isn't working. You need to tell us exactly what distributor setup you have, what else has been done to the wiring, and what the symptoms are. A statement like "I think the distributor is electronic..." doesn't help with a diagnosis. If nothing else, pull off the cap and take some photos.

Thank you, I will get the exact number of the coil and distributor, to better help you with my problem.
