Part number is 562845. Used on the 1979 260 diesel with T50 manual trans only. I'm guessing you can count the number of those built on the fingers of one hand. Good luck with that.

Given the near-impossibility of finding one of those, you might want to consider making one. Cut down a gas engine flywheel to accept the ring gear from a diesel flexplate, then have the whole thing rebalanced.

To sort of derail this thread a tiny bit, who knew that Car and Driver actually tested a 1979 Cutlass Calais with the 260 diesel and 5 spd.

90 HP, 160 ft-lbs, 0-60 in a whopping 16.1 sec, with an 89 MPH top speed.

I actually owned one in 1990. Sold it to a kid who put a 350 gas in it. My car was loaded with all the options. I let her go for 800.00

Possibly one of the rarest Olds production vehicles ever.

I bought a wagon that the guy put a 350 Olds in it and sold it to me here in Calif. I tried to smog and found out about the swap and gave it to a friend for $500 if he cold get it smoged in Az. He was heading there and needed a car. He showed at my house 5 yrs later in new BMW and gave me $500 must of been on his mind. I didn't even think about the money till he showed up at my house. Never told the wife about it. Money in my pocket. Glade to help him in need.
