The engine is in, the wiring is done, the starter is in finally and tomorrow is the big day to turn it over. The one thing I didn't think about when switching from Buick to Olds is the Driver Side starter, which of course requires a dust cover with a cutout on the same side. I have a really nice painted Buick one, but I need one for an Olds. I figured with all the trans swaps and LS /700R4 combos, someone has to have a dust cover kicking around that they would like to get to a good home. It will not keep me from breaking it in and tuning etc, but I would like to have it before I drive it very far, like to get the exhaust fitted and new tires, I am 27 miles from civilization and shops, Washington has water more than dust, but you get the idea. PM me if you want to turn one loose, and any Buick owner than wants one for the shelf, I'll make you a deal!
It started 18 months ago and has been a project that got quickly over my head...too much technology difference and G body is cramped everywhere, hence the V6
At least I get to drive it before I am too old or the gas runs out! I still have bucket and console to install and the headliner, then it is paintwork, but it doesn't have many 1980 parts now

I found a plastic one for $10 so I am good now. Thanks for contacting me anyway! I thought metal was better but it wasn't necessary for all the added cost. Shipping almost nothing in weight is $20 intra USA.
