Needed: 1969 Cutlass driver bucket power seat assembly
I’m looking to add a power driver seat to my 1969 Olds convertible. Im looking for everything needed to do the conversion. Only want quality parts that seller has confirmed to be in working condition. I pay for quality!
I think that is a formula that every business person can understand!
There are items that work but look bad, items that look new but don’t work, and items that work fair and are reasonably priced. So many on this forum have been collecting, trading and selling for years. And they all know what is a fair price for a particular part. It’s price is always based of rarity, condition and what it takes to make it work as intended. Each thing increases or decreasing the price value.
What I mean is that sometimes, someone has a rare piece that is near perfect or NOS. And it commands a premium. I can’t say what that dollar amount is until I see the part and learn about its history and working condition. But I’m not looking for the least expensive bargain basement parts. I have a sizable investment in my car and I want the best. Not sure if I can afford the very best of every part but I want to have the option to step up if needed.
So roll the dice, flip your last card over and reveal the goods and set your price. Maybe we can do business or maybe I can’t afford it. But if you want to sell something, you must make the first move, I don’t negotiate with myself on a part I have never seen.
I have 3 a body power bucket seat assemblies
for your consideration...
the nicest 1 I have is a very nice ,very complete , power drivers bucket seat ,that tests fine , from a super dry interior 44000 mile car ,so nice the mint white bucket seats just sold for 2500...
from floor brackets to black left side surround for the mint 4 way switch,to the ground wire, original orange power wire and plug ,
thin plastic aprons and brackets ... etc....
stashed for 30 years,,,,
Good pic Bob thx. Would that set up bolt right up to bucket seat mounts or is that unique mounting bracket needed?
The bracket on the left side nearest the door is completely unique. The bracket on the right is the same regular bucket seat bracket, but the rear mounting bolt is moved up to the forward hole. I've seen several make this swap and just weld a bolt on top of the hole - me, I ground off the bracket and moved the bolt up to the front. I have some pics somewhere....
Here is the console-side bracket that I removed and replaced. Standard buckets use the bolt where it is now. Power buckets use the bolt hole where I'm pointing.
The proper seat bracket for the left side is the second from the top on the right. You have to get lucky to find one.

Have investigated & extracted as many parts that were never sold as ones that have & hav yet to find a tried & true formula to determine wich way th deal will go but a k owledgeable person is best determination that its likely to go just fine...sale or not....need email for pix
