1970 cruise control 4bbl threaded rod
1970 cruise control 4bbl threaded rod
This may be a double post, sorry about that if so, I posted this monring and now I can't find it.
Looking for the correct threaded rod that goes from the bellows to the throttle bracket for a 1970 cruise control set-up.
I had one on my engine and just got rid of my extra one last year or so. Mechanic "lost" mine or at least says it wasn't there. Hmmm. Maybe even the measuremetns would help as I have access to a machine shop and can make one myself if provided with the correct length and bends.

Interesting,
The 1970 assembly manual says the rod is part number:
400392 for 2 BBL 455
400393 for 4 BBL 455 or 350
But if I search the 1972 parts catalog I see 1970, 71 and 72 all use the same:
409538 Rod, relay bellcrank to servo
The 1969 and 1970 used the accordion style bellows (same as a later model Jaguar) and the '71 and up used a smooth version. So I wonder if they used the same rod throughout those years and just changed the servo or by 72 were the '69 and '70 parts already obsolete.
I have a complete '71 or '72 setup and the rod does look the same. I'll try it next weekend.

Sorry I just saw this, haven't been on in a while. I believe all I need is the rod. I know I have an intake bracket but can't remebr if it was two peice or one. Though I am 99% sure it was a two piece. I found a couple of rods in my part bins but they are for a different design setup—I believe for 71/72
