67 442 Trunk Molding Wanted
#6
I have one that has some "defects" BUT the chrome/grain, etc is original and would be considered a very nice driver piece. It's from a Cutlass so the grained area would need to be painted black.
It does have a few small bubbles on the BACKSIDE on the smooth chrome "bar" above the grained area (and only on the half of the smooth "bar" that faces down {that's where water would sit...thus the small bubbles}). You can see slight distortions on the chrome surface on the outside where these are.
The grained area and lettering is SUPER NICE - one small "gouge" on the lower edge but no pits, no bubbles, etc (backside or frontside). The chrome, overall, is still very nice and shiny.
Again, a VERY NICE driver quality piece and a great rechrome candidate since any small bubbling repair would only be done on the smooth upper bar - so no risk of messing with the grain on a chrome job.
Can send detailed pics, etc to an email address. Price won't be ridiculous either....I don't have any need for it (own no '67 cars) and got it b/c it was such a clean piece that is hard to find with real nice grain, etc. Already have the shipping tube for it.
I could also prep and paint the black area at an extra cost.
EDIT: Forgot to mention....no broken studs on this piece either.
