68-70 door opening windlace
Looking for a nice original driver side door opening wind lace in blue for a 69 Olds A-body. 68 will work also but 70-72 is slightly different. I know they are reproduced, but looking for a nice original. Has to be from a hardtop as the convertible has a cut out for the alignment wedge. Please provide pics and price.
Thanks,
Chris

68-70 (and pretty sure 71-72) have that vinyl-ish piece which tucks in behind the panel. It's like the windlace which goes around the back window, above the windshield and on the sides of the headliner all on the interior. It's not really fabric. It's just like the black ones on your Rallye

still looking
turns out 68/69 are similar. starting in 70 there were some slight differences. So looking for 68/69 door opening windlace. prefer blue but will take any color

'68 & '69 have vinyl covered round foam sewn onto a cardboard strip with holes stamped for four? screws. Convert is the same as hardtop. Does not go near the wedge. Tucks under sill plate and folds over at top gap and is held in place with side panel.

I've seen pics of those, but what you describe is not what I'm looking for. No screws hold in place what I'm looking for. And 100% without a doubt the convert is different than a hardtop. Many months ago I came across a blue 69 piece, but passed on it because it had the cutout for the convert wedge.

Are you referring to Body lock pillar windlace assembly? PN 8730275 fabric (first jobs) or PN 8771702 (after jobs) plastic snap on type - blue? These are what I was describing. Convert has a different plastic PN than Coupe.
