72 Supreme quarter glass weatherstrip needed

Working on a 72 supreme. Car was apart when I got it. I'm trying to install roof rail weatherstrip and realize something is missing at back of qtr glass. I don't even know what it looks like. Might be something on inside and outside? Whatever it is I need it. Thanks Greg

Sorry, I don't have any pictures but I think you are referring to a piece of "weatherstrip" that clips onto the body/roof inner structure and is VERTICALLY oriented once installed.

>I think these were only used on Supreme hardtop bodies....not on "S" style cars since the top edge of the quarter glass curves down to a point at the rearmost part of the glass. Supreme style glass has a "squared off" rear edge and that's where these w/strips contact that glass.

>You will need one piece for each side so there may be a specific L side piece and a specific R side piece

>These are a solid rubber material....not a soft closed cell foam rubber like the roof rail w/strips

>I think they have integral or molded-in "clips" on them that serve to attach them to the body metal. Probably two clips on each piece and the clips slide over an edge of some body metal back there.

PIC below shows the one of the pieces I'm referring to so people that have this part can figure out where to look on their parts cars.....PIC shows the Passenger side w/strip piece but it's on a '70-2 Skylark/GS car. However, these cars use a quarter glass with a "squared off" rear edge similar to a '70-2 Supreme.

You should contact Scott Winn ("Oldspackrat" on this site)......he may have these parts for you.

Good luck.
