As I am upgrading my 4 blade fan to a six blade clutch fan, I require the 5.5 inch pump to go with it, so as to move the fan closer to the rad and provide adequate clearance between the fan blade and the power steering pump shaft.
Another casting, 413307, was offered for the 73 to 80 or so cars for the non A/C applications. It was also a 5.5 inch pump and replaced the 5 inch pump for non A/C cars. I would certainly prefer the correct 408329, however if none are available, are there any reasons why the 413307 wouldn't work? I see a remanufactured one on Ebay now.
I will also have to get the offset KM pump pulley sold by Fusick to keep the belts aligned.
