Rear License Plate Filler for '76 Cutlass Coupe

The elastomeric license plate filler panel on our '76 Cutlass Salon coupe is looking a bit ragged. This is the soft plastic panel located between the rear bumper and the license plate/gas filler area, originally painted (or perhaps molded in) silver and carrying the "Unleaded Fuel Only" sticker when new. I have no idea of interchangeability, but I would suspect that all '76 - '77 Olds coupes (and perhaps some other GM Colonnades?) would probably cross-over.

An update:

I have removed the old filler and the part number on the back is 551188. Does anyone have a good used one that I might buy?

I have one of these. Plastic is soft and flexible. Call / text or e-mail me at (864)616-46one9. Gtfolds@att.net. Greg.

I found a new repro license plate filler available from Plastic Parts Inc:
http://www.plasticpartsinc.com/oldsmobile.html

It is due to be delivered today. However, I have learned since ordering that their repros are made of fairly hard ABS. While it is no doubt more durable than the original, this gives me some concern as to whether the rear bumper will have to be removed to install it; the original is "floppy" and it was still a relative bear to remove due to tight clearances.

Enter Greg (oldsmobl) above who offered me a good used original filler for a very reasonable price, so I bought it as well . . . "just in case". Thanks, Greg!

Both pieces have now arrived (the repro form Plastic Parts Inc and the used original from oldsmobl Greg) and both are excellent --- thanks again, Greg!

Thanks for the update Jeff, Would you be able to post a pic of the repop from the parts place.
This will certainly help both myself and others in the future.

Eric,

The attachment shows it installed on my car. It actually came pre-painted with "UNLEADED FUEL ONLY" sicker in place Will also post on my other thread https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...ody-parts.html
