WTB: remote mirror for 69 Delta 88 2DR

...has anybody a remote mirror assembly available for my 1969 Delta88 (2DR Holiday Coupe) for a fair price?
The mirror is still there but the cable and **** isnīt - see Picture.

There was one available at eBay not so long ago, but I missed the auction...

So if anybody has available what I am looking for, just write an answer to this thread or send me a PM and let me know your asking price...

Thanks

I have a few from Cutlasses but don't know if the angle of the base/mirror is the same as a Delta? The chrome is not real great but better than nothing. I can get pix if you want?

Scott, I've pulled these mirrors off full sized cars and compared them to the A-body. They have a different base.

Johnny, yours has the more squarish mirror. The 1969 was oval.

Snail, I'll need to dig around to locate them but I know I've got more than one that would work for your car. If your mirror and chrome are in good condition, would you be interested in one for parts? Would you want to take yours apart and use the cable/**** from a parts mirror? Or do you just want a replacement mirror that you can bolt on?

Hey John that's what I thought but thank you for confirming. I forgot we have a 68 Delmont 88 that might be the same mirror? You have first dibs though.

Scott, if you have your mirror handy offer it up! Mine are in a box somewhere in the garage

Hey John,

my mirror itself doesnīt look bad. If itīs possible to discoinnect mirror from the cables (not sure whether this is possible), it would be really fine just to use the cables and **** from the spare and keep my mirror.
If you have a cheap and suitable one from that I can use the cables/****, this would be great !

Snail, see what Scott wants for his. If it's more than you want to pay I'll dig around to located mine and see if I have one that's suitable for parts. That will take a few days. John

Update

Based upon big Support from "oldspackrat" Scott (had some email conversation with him) I finally figured out that my mirror assembly is not defective !

The **** was just unclipsed from the door bezel (as I assume) the clip became weak and unclipsed by its own) and wass fallen inside the door.

Scott provided some information about removing the door panel and with his help I was able to fix the issue without the need of new/spare parts (see picture).

Once again I want to say thanks to all members of this forum for any information or help that is provided here to anybody and I really appreciate the great support and the experience of all the Olds enthousiasts available here !!!

In this case also again big thumbs up and big thanks to Scott for his support and help and providing all the information and pictures to me !
