WTB: Fenderskirts for a 1971 98

just as the title says, i am in need of skirts for my '71 98. i had my right rear tire blow out on me this past summer and it ruined the skirt on that side. so i am looking specifically for the right side skirt, but i would be willing to buy a set for the right price. having all the trim on the skirt would be an awesome plus, as i lost all of it during the blow out as well.

pm me if you have a set, or know where i can locate one!

thanks!

Welcome to the board and good luck.

If you're ever going to be cruising that car near the Woodridge area, drop me a message.

88 coupe, thanks for the link to bigjims....i remember coming across that a while back, before i needed skirts, so thanks for reminding me of the site! arent they a bit pricey though? i guess its all about supply and demand, but still....

hey J, thanks for the welcome. i think ive seen you on the impalass forum...but i could be mistaken, although i rarely forget an oldsmobile, lol. it would be cool to get together and cruise sometime. my hometown is Crystal Lake, but im living in the city while going to school. im planning on joining the illinois valley olds club this coming year, as it was something i was too busy to do this year, so maybe we could work out going to those shows too, when the weather gets nicer...in about 8 months! but ill hit you up for sure if im making any cruising plans, and be sure to do the same.

Go to ebay and look up seller biscayne07 . I just won a pair of 61 Olds skirts from him for 50.00. He may have what you need.

Yep. That was me on the Impala forum.
I actually have an Impala ss crossmember in my Olds right now.
The Olds' didn't come with dual exhaust.

i dont know if they would John. ive wondered that myself, because then i could broaden my search criteria, lol. you would have to post some pictures of them so i could compare. or i guess i could look up some photos myself and make a decision.

what kind of shape are yours in? do they have all the trim?

This might be the easiest way to be sure. Not perfect, but they're cheap!

thanks for posting these pictures so fast 2blu442, i really appreciate it. those certainly seem like a solid workable pair to me. but unfortunately i dont think they will work. i was doing some research and it seems that the chrome trim on the bottom is different and would not match up like a set of 71/72 skirts would, and i just think finding those trim pieces would be an even harder task than just waiting for a decent set of 71/72 skirts to come along.

but again, i really appreciate the help!
