WTB 68 2dr. Cutlass Transmission tunnel.

Guys I'm looking for a section of the tunnel marked out in the picture below. What I would like to find is the tunnel from an actual 68 model car that came with a column shift automatic. I understand that most people consider the 68-72 cars to be the same part, but I have another tunnel from a different year 2dr. cutlass and while it is very close it is not the same. I plan to fit the part and then butt weld the seam to try and hide my screw-up. LOL. I'm really only interested in a very nice piece with no rust or damage to the underside from a transmission banging around due to a bad transmission mount. If you have something that might work let me know. Thanks
Mike

If you get a panel that goes forward farther than you have marked,
beyond the factory seam, you can attach the replacement at the factory seam.
Cut the factory spot welds with a spot weld cutter to remove the piece to be replaced.
The rest, of course, will need to done as you originally planned.
I usually try to break at the factory seams when I do this kind of resto
to make the repair as inconspicuous as possible..
This won't be perfect, but, it'll be a little neater installation.

Ed, thank you for the tip on working from the seam, that's a great idea, and I appreciate the advice.

Wow! That was fast. I can't hardly get thru McDonald's that quick. LOL Thanks Scott, and I really do appreciate your help with this. Maybe I can get that old 442 on the road for New Years.
