yes a fan shroud mine is missing?

on the agean car you just bought (educated guess since I saw the other thread)? if so, it's no supposed to have one. Look at the bottom of the radiator core support. There won't be any tabs to mount the lower portion of the fan shroud.

Are you guys serious? it dosnt come stock with a shroud? i know my 71 442 had one???

If it doesn't have the tabs for a shroud then on the bottom of the core support it probably didn't have one from the factory.

I know some cars didn't come with one, I've even had one, but what was the reasoning for not throwing in a piece of plastic that could only make it more efficient? I doubt if they were really saving much money.

It looks like my top Radiator plate is further towards the fan more than one with a shroud

your top plate isn't designed to use a fan shroud....it's the version Olds installed on the '70 Abodies that didn't have one.

It doesn't even have the holes in it for the upper fan shroud mounting points.

It's correct for your car as the car appears now.....non-ac, non HD cooling, 3 row radiator setup.
