WTB: 1968 (only) Ignition Switch
WTB: 1968 (only) Ignition Switch - Got one
Found one on eBay - thanks!
Looking for an NOS GM Delco-Remy Ignition Switch for my 1968 442. Or… an acceptable high quality NORS one that was USA made back in the day. The new Chinese made AC Delco replacement won’t accept my original ignition lock…
It will have 7 blade terminals on the rear with 3 square receptacles cast into the main cylindrical body to secure the ignition wiring harness connector at the 12, 4 and 8 o’clock positions. This is a 1968 only part that is used for the first year ‘key buzzer’ and last year of ignition switch in the dash. Thanks!
Part numbers I have are: 1116694 or 12322801

I thought I might have one but it is for a truck with 4 terminals on the back. The number is 1116504.There is one listed on ebay by this part number that says for a 68 Corvette but matches you description. Here is the link:

Thanks for looking and the tip, there’s actually several on eBay that weren’t there earlier when I took a chance with a new AC Delco part. I’ve seen some described as Corvette applications with a large loop cast into the housing. This ‘694’ will fit my Olds for sure.
* Non-Oldsmobile quick comment*. Thanks for your Vietnam era service, I’m doing an Honor Flight with some of your comrades later this week.
