Looking for OEM- NOS switch for 1964 F-85 floor mount dimmer switch. Send me pictures of what you got( #1997037)

I don't have one, but there appears to be some on eBay, both Delco & aftermarket.

Check with Don’s Auto Parts, www.donsautoparts.com , he has a lot of used and NOS hard to find parts.

Looking for original style dimmer switch(1997037) to match the original connector.

I can check this weekend...I've removed several over the years just need to see if I can find them and what style they are.

If you can't find NOS Delco-Remy (and as many millions of GM cars that used this switch, you should be able to find one) go for an OLD STOCK Standard, Echlin, Filko or the like. It will perform as well as the GM switch. Has to be US-made OLD STOCK. Not newer offshore product.

Nov 73 parts book indicates 2.459 1997037 is used:

64-70 all except GuideMatic
71-72 all
73-74 all except Opt Y78 (Cutlass Salon)

That's just Oldsmobile applications. Multiply that by GM.

Since my Olds is still bone stock I have been using only OEM correct parts to keep it maintained. I will hold out for a true Delco Remy unit, still in the hunt. All leads still considered, check those boxes on the upper back shelves, Thanks
