Wanted - dash harness piece

I'm trying to install my speedometer with the speed warning needle but the plug requires one more addition female pin - does anyone have a dash harness around that they can take one of the female plugs out (wire attached) or the plug that goes into the back of the fuel gauge or speedometer and cut it with enough wire to splice another wire to it?

Thank you,

Tom

Tom:

It would help a lot if you told us what you are working on.

Hi redoldsman, I stated in my want ad that I am installing a speedometer with the speed warning needle (I thing they called them a Safety Sentinel - 71 cutlass convertible). This gauge housing has one more pin on the back (it powers the buzzer) than a regular speedometer gauge and my dash harness does not have an extra wire/plug that goes to this extra pin so I'm looking to see if someone has a dash harness that they can pull out a female pin with its wire so I can add it to my plug to be able to use the speed warning feature.

A bit confusing - YES.

Is this the long thin strip of round terminals in a line as used '68-9? If so I am sure I have spares.

Maybe a NAPA store has new ones?

I don't think this will help, but this is what is in my 1972 parts car.

That's it - just one female end for the extra male pin on the gauge. I'm sending a pm to you 69442murph.

I'm looking for a missing piece for my dash harness - the PO removed the convertible top harness that connects to the switch and connected a substitute switch. If I can find a harness I'm going to put in a new switch.

Anyone have this?

What year? 72 is different from 70-71.

It's a 1972 - got the weird multi-pin connector.
