Wanted: 1971 Cutlass Convertible Full Frame

I'm looking for a 71 cutlass chassis frame for a convertible car. My frame is in terrible shape and needs replacing. I'm looking to purchase a frame by February if possible. Let me know if anyone has one they are looking to off load.

Where are you located? I'm in St. Louis and may have one to look at.

Convertible frames can sometimes be difficult to locate. There is a kit to box in the A-body frame just like the convertible frame. Just a thought if you don't find a good convertible frame.
Good Luck.

Thanks,

I still have one in Brazil Indiana. It has lots of pitting and the body mount holes need a little work but it is still solid. It still has the crossmember, disc brakes and control arms on the front of it. I would take $1000 for it with the disc brakes.

Thanks jensenracing77, I will keep yours in mind also. If there isn't one closer to Texas I will possibly take a look at yours.

There is a place I found on Craigslist that if I remember correctly is inTexas. I will find it and post to this thread. They have a body frames. Maybe they have some without powder coat cheaper but the cost of the frame, cleaning and coating adds up. Good luck.

Wanted: 1971 Cutlass Convertible Full Frame

I recently acquired a '70 442 convertible stripped parts car. The body is junk. What I can see of the frame looks good. I plan to remove the body shell very soon and will be offering the frame up for sale, either as a rolling chassis or a bare frame. I will update on condition. Thanks, Bob.

Bob,

Once you get the body off the frame let me know. Pictures would be great also if possible, I will be waiting for your update, thanks.

Try South Texas Muscle Cars STMC, they had a couple of convertibles that I bought parts of. There is another guy in Quinlan, TX that advertises on Craigslist for frames and rear ends.

STMC - 281-251-7931 Gary or Scott

Got it on the lift yesterday. Looks good from underneath. Just to clarify, are you looking for a bare, stripped frame, a rolling chassis or ? Thanks, Bob.

I haven't heard back from you about your quest for transportation. I talked to a guy that brought a body shell from here to the Northeast for someone not long ago. If you're still interested, let me know and I'll put you in touch with him. Thanks, Bob.

Have one under an abundant project that I would consider selling. Frame was blasted and coated with POR15. $3,000 Firm located in Austin
